Quiet Success in Life

So at the end of my daughter's life, she was in the last year of high school.
One year before that, she was 14 years old and she caught the flu. Like my son and so many other teenagers did, that year.
She was up and night, more sick than we realised and we were talking.
One thing I said, was like this
"Gitty, you are fully valued and special for who you are. You don't need talents to shine or a super high IQ to begin to be considered. You are you and that's enough reason for you to be respected, valued."
She looked at me and said in that beautiful soft voice of hers,
"Mummy, you're saying this, no one else is saying this."
Today, it is my intention that what Gitty gives us, through this writing is that many many many women and girls know this and "are saying it" - and are walking through life with this conscious awareness of their inherent priceless value.
Gitty herself, came to live this in the 10 short remainder months that followed.
She actually loved and valued herself in so real a way that it didn't infringe on anyone else's self worth.
Because that's how it is - isn't it? On the contrary, the girls in her school class and in younger grades felt good with themselves when they were around her.
When Gitty miraculously recovered from that bout of flu that triggered off a rare case of toxins in her legs and knocked out the function of her kidneys, she felt full of love.
That's what we are - at the core.
She appreciated so deeply the care of those around her, allowed herself to receive the love, care and attention, she "walked" with a new maturity of being.
A Gitty of inner peace, of living with gratitude, of love and being loved and cherished completely.
I know she wants me to share this
"We'll leave this to the adults" she'd say
This possibility of living
For any of you reading this
At any stage of life
You are valued - for you are you. You don't need to prove it in any which way, okay? You are deeply cherished already.
10 months later,
Rosh Hashana, Yom Kippur had passed and Gitty shared this with me.
She was looking to keep this way of being - alive,
For the long term
And when I said she can,
She said,
Again in that pure soft voice,
"Thank you"
This was her life,
A journey of valuing herself
Ever more
As is so
Zone in
It's your life
not up to others to
determine,
comment
be scripted
predicted.
You can no longer be tampered with. There's no turning backwards. You are so fully focused on your own worth, your life and where you're going with it, that no'in else makes a difference.
I was so happy to read in her diary the glory she saw in herself. I was so proud of her. She left this world feeling good about herself, know the full value for who she was and so at peace with living life in her fullest.
The appreciation of living was to new levels. As a result of the adrenalin infused in her in her emergency of keeping her alive, one big toe was left swollen and red. She showed it to her friend, saying "This is my reminder to be grateful for the full recovery that I had"
Year 11, and the Halachah teacher, teaching the Brocha of Shehecheyanu asked the girls to write one thing for which they are grateful. Here is Gitty's
"Thank You Hashem for enabling me to live"
Quiet success? You know those children who begin a game with the belief alread that they are going to lose. Duh.
And then there are those little gorgeous vivacious ones that are so confident they will win from the onset. Full of laughing energy. And then, guess who wins?
Gitty was that girl. Quiet gorgeous success..
You're a winner.
Not to out do the other person.
Because you are so worthy
You deserve all the good
For who you are
And for what you've been through.
Gitty dear, if I can tell you, yes you're right, maybe I'm the only one saying it, but now that you are up high, I'm sharing this - I'm going to say it, not just to you, also now to lots of other women and girls so that they too, can live life the way you did, with knowing the gift of you, every day.
What would a day look like for yourself where you are living in your full value?
What do you want for yourself in the next 6 months - better than the best case scenario?
Life is now; life is yours,
How do you want to tailor this version of success to your life?

WoW! So Special and EXACTLY what I needed to hear! Thank you for sharing.
Beautiful, so inspiring!
